At first glance, it's a retro cassette tape—a nod to the mixtapes many of us grew up making. But look a little closer, and you'll notice something clever.
Instead of a list of songs, the tape is labeled with four names:
Matthew • Mark • Luke • John
Not tracks on an album, but the four books that tell the greatest story ever written.
Four Books. One Message.
If you've ever wondered why there are four Gospels instead of one, think of them like different recordings of the same incredible event.
Each writer tells the story of Jesus from a unique perspective, highlighting different details while proclaiming the very same truth: Jesus is the promised Savior of the world.
Together, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John create a complete picture of who Jesus is.
That's why we thought of them as the original playlist.
Each "track" builds on the last until the entire story unfolds.
Why We Called It "The Original Playlist"
A playlist is a collection of songs that belong together.
Every song contributes something unique.
Remove one, and the experience changes.
The four Gospels work much the same way.
Each book has its own style.
Each author emphasizes different moments.
Each reveals another facet of Christ's life and ministry.
Yet together they tell one unified story—the story of God's love, His plan of redemption, and the hope found only in Jesus.
That's why the phrase "The Original Playlist" felt like the perfect fit.
Long before streaming apps curated playlists, God had already given the world the greatest collection of truth ever assembled.
A Conversation Starter
One of our favorite things about this design is how naturally it starts conversations.
Someone notices the vintage cassette.
Then they read the label.
"Matthew... Mark... Luke... John?"
Suddenly, what looked like a retro music shirt becomes an opportunity to talk about the Gospel.
We love designs that don't just make a statement—they invite curiosity.
Sometimes a simple, creative idea can open the door to share the greatest story ever told.
The Playlist That Never Gets Old
Music trends come and go.
Favorite albums change.
Technology moves on.
But the message of the Gospel has never needed an update.
For over 2,000 years, these four books have introduced millions of people to Jesus Christ. They continue to offer hope to the broken, forgiveness to sinners, peace to the anxious, and eternal life to all who believe.
That's why we call it The Original Playlist.
Because no collection of words has changed more lives than the four books of the Gospel.
And that's a message worth wearing.
