There’s something inviting about an open road.
You see it stretching into the distance, winding over the hills, and you can’t help but wonder where it leads.
But as followers of Jesus, we already know something important about the road He asks us to walk:
It won’t always be the popular one.
That truth inspired our Meet Me on the Narrow Road T-shirt design—a bright, feminine, vintage-inspired reminder of what it means to choose Jesus again and again.
“Follow Me.”
In Matthew 16:24, Jesus gives His disciples an invitation that is both beautifully simple and incredibly challenging:
“If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
Jesus doesn’t disguise the cost of discipleship.
He doesn’t say, Follow Me and everything will be easy.
He doesn’t promise that following Him will always make sense to the people around us.
Instead, He asks us to surrender.
To lay down our own way.
To take up our cross.
And then He says two words that can change the entire direction of our lives:
Follow Me.
The Narrow Road
That invitation connects so beautifully with another teaching of Jesus in Matthew 7:14:
“How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.”
There will always be easier roads.
Roads where we can blend in.
Roads where we never have to explain why we believe what we believe.
Roads where culture gets to determine what is right, what is important, and what our lives should look like.
But Jesus calls us somewhere different.
The narrow road is the road of obedience.
It’s choosing forgiveness when holding a grudge would be easier.
It’s choosing grace when you could retaliate.
It’s trusting God when you cannot see what He is doing.
It’s opening His Word when the world is competing for your attention.
It’s saying, “Not my way, Lord. Yours.”
And sometimes it’s simply waking up in the morning and deciding:
Today, I’m following Jesus.
The Story Behind the Design
We wanted this shirt to carry that message without feeling heavy.
Instead, Meet Me on the Narrow Road has the feeling of an old 1970s roadside travel poster—bright colors, oversized retro lettering, wildflowers, sunshine, and a winding road disappearing into the distance.
At the end of that road stands a cross.
It’s subtle, but it changes the meaning of everything around it.
The destination isn’t popularity.
It isn’t comfort.
It isn’t approval.
It’s Jesus.
And underneath the design is one little handwritten declaration:
I’ll be following Jesus.
That may be my favorite part of the entire shirt.
Because ultimately, that’s what the Christian life comes down to.
Not having every answer.
Not knowing exactly where the road ahead will take us.
Just knowing Who we’re following.
A Shirt That Starts a Conversation
At first glance, this design feels like a fun vintage travel tee.
Then you look closer.

And suddenly the shirt becomes more than a cute graphic.

Women who have decided that the narrow road is worth walking because of the One who walks it with them.

Keep walking.
